Material Damage (Property and Contents) and Business Interruption Insurance
What is covered?
Material Damage and Business Interruption Insurance (MDBI) is primarily for covering sudden losses such as theft, accidental or disaster-related damage. Please note that gradual damage as a result of maintenance or weather-tight issues is not considered sudden damage.

Making a claim
Upon discovery, claims can be made directly to the claims managers with a copy to AIB.
- Document and photograph evidence of the damage. If another party is responsible for the damage ask for details of their insurance company.
- Take all reasonable precautions to ensure no further damage is done.
- Complete a claim form
- Email the completed claim form to and copy aib
@ and your local insurance manager or broker.aib . org. nz - Obtain quotes for repair or replacement.
- Wait for the the claims managers response before proceeding, an assessor may be required.
- The excess is $1,000 (or may be lower for a residential property claim) and $2,000 for water-related damage.

Motor Vehicle Insurance
What is covered?
The policy covers all the vehicles held in care, custody or control. This includes all employees’ vehicles while being used in connection with your activity and any rental vehicles are covered while hired.

Claim Form
The claim form will be provided by Crash Management. For claims involving stolen vehicles please contact AIB in the first instance.
Claims
For claims other than stolen vehicles please contact Crash Management:
0800 2CRASH (0800 227 274)The operator will require the following information:
- Your name, address and contact phone numbers
- The name on the insurance policy that covers the vehicle (Anglican Church of New Zealand)
- Renewal is on 1 April each year
- Vehicle type, registration number and year
- Name of Insurance Company (QBE)
- Name of Insurance Broker (Marsh)
- A description of the damage
- Location of the vehicle
- Preferred time and place for pickup/ delivery of courtesy car
- Crash Management will manage all arrangements including providing you with a claim form
- If you do have any problems please ask for the name of the person you have been talking to at Crash Management and contact AIB

Note: If you are calling from the scene of an accident, please ensure that your vehicle is roadworthy before driving off. If in doubt, Crash Management will instruct a salvage truck to attend.

Legal Liability Insurance
What is covered?
Insurance cover for claims for compensation made against the Church.
Includes: Professional Indemnity, Statutory Liability, Employers Liability, General (Public) and Products Liability and Criminal Defence Costs.
Claim Form
There is no claim form. It is very important to give notice immediately you think there might be an issue that could give rise to a claim for compensation, either now or in the future.
Making a claim
- All potential claims should be advised immediately to your local insurance officer.
